Hello,

I have a 1989 force outboard and when I am in the neutral position and place the motor into forward you need to be very quick or the engine will stall. When you place the motor into reverse it goes into gear much smoother. Is there an adjustment for this?

Did it just start doing this, or has it always done this since you have had the motor?

Find a manual if you don't have one.

Sounds like your linkage is improperly adjusted. Once you readjust your linkage, there are steps to syncronize all others. Step by Step details in the manual will show you exactly what to adjust.

I HAVE A MANUAL AND DO NOT SEE ANYTHING REGAURDING THE INTERLOCK SWITCH ON THE ENGINE. THIS HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR A WHILE BUT I JUST GOT THE BOAT. IS THE SWITCH ITSELF ADJUSTABALE?
