I have a 1989 bayliner with a 125 hp force outboard that I was having a problem with, it had a short in the wire going in to the top of the trim pump so that if i had someone push downward on the wire as i moved the trim switch up or down it would function fine. So instead of dealing with that this year i ordered a new pump and installed it, i disconnected the blue and green wires from the relay going into my old trim pump and reconnected them to the wires on the new pump as well as connecting all the hydraulic lines and bolts to reinstall it exactly how the old was installed. Now I go to flip the switch to trim up or down and nothing happens no noise or anything. I then replaced the relays and still nothing. i know my batterys are good as i have 2, one year old deep cell battery's that will turn my motor on and run the lights and radio on my boat.

My 1987 125 had a curcuit breaker on the port side of the engine and half way back from the relays. Did it pop by chance?

You bought a new pump??
Pump or electric motor?
More details?

Take the green/ blue wires from the trim motor relays, hook one to ground and the other to a hot lead.
The electric motor should turn then.
If not then the motor/ brushes are bad??Just cause it's new doesn't mean it's gonna work,
the Chinese crap were getting is HORRIBLE!!

Under the trim motor cap is a points type contact.
The contact point and wire in breaks and needs to be rewired.
