1989 gamefisher 7.5 motor problems

I have this motor I am trying to get going,
Right now, I have spark in one of the cylinders, there are 2. Does anyone know what the problem would be for only spark in one of them?

OOOPS, I didnt see the part about engine problems. Maybe a mod can move this for me.

try switching the coils around to eliminate a bad coil, and give attention to all connections on the stator plate, I don't immediately know who made this engine for sears but would guess its a force?? someone else here will know

The 225.581751 is the model number. You can use it at www.searspartsdirect.com to view parts diagrams and parts lists. Most parts for that outboard are still available directly from Sears, or you can work with your local Mercury dealer. The outboard was built by Force for Sears.
