I'm looking to purchase this boat. It has been sitting for 8 years, the owner said it was perfectly fine when he parked it. It has a 200hp gt Johnson on it. However, I'm curious about the hull. Can anyone tell me how much wood under the fiberglass would potentially be there? I'm concerned that the wood could be rotted. The owner is nearly giving this boat away so I want take a good look at it.

Being a 1989, consider it full of wood

That's why I'm asking. But, I'd like to know for certain.

I'm sure it's wood,...

Even in the 90's when the boat manufacturers touted "composite" construction
they didn't tell you that plywood is technically a composite,..........
