1989 Jeep cherokee help

So over the last couple days my 89 cherokee has developed a loose connection of sorts with the ignition switch. The jeep starts fine, runs good, but I am driving down the road and the stereo, dash, blinkers, will all stop working. I then have to wiggle the key to get everything to come back on. Any thoughts on where to look and what to look for?

Check the Alternator, and battery connections.

it is your ignition switch under dash ive had several cherokees

under driver side dash on the steering collom a thin metal rod connects to it
