I'm going to replace seals & o'rings in the lower unit. Kinda feel like an idiot asking this question but I do have my reasons.... and I don't have a book on this motor. What type gear oil is used in this lower unit? I'm assuming 80w90 or 90w gear oil... but best to find out for sure than screw up a lower unit...

I cant remember off the top of my head, but 80w90 sounds right. Make sure its marine lube, because its made to hold its ratings with up to 10% water in it.

Follow etracer's recommendations. Marine gear oil is a hypoid oil-made to mix with water, unlike regular 80/90w automotive gear oil. Most marine gear oils are fine for your engine. Make you don't use the Premium Blend-which is for the older OMC electric shift models.
