Is there a way to set timing on this engine without test wheel or running full speed down the bayou? Also have oil/gas mixture running down both sides of engine. Have rebuilt this engine and replaced inspection cover gaskets.Could it be leaking between split case. Started leaking after the rebuild.

Howdy, IGaudet. The fuel is probably leaking from a carb, due to float sticking or float adjustment problem.

The timing does need to be set under load and at 3000+ rpm.

Good luck.
JB :)
