I am having a little problem with power getting out of the hole. This has never been the case, We just replaced the VRO pump because we could't get it to run with any power and it kept stalling. Now it runs but when I hit the throttle it takes a while before we get going. Any idesa would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Welcome to iboats.

First idea would be to post your question under the Johnson/Evinrude heading. This is Mercury. But don't worry about it. One of the moderators will move it for you.

Otherwise check the sparkplugs to see if they're all burning well. Sounds like you might have a cylinder that's not doing it's job. Check your compression too if you have a gauge.

cokie....in addition to WBW's good advice, go back and recheck your VRO pump connections. Make sure they are all tight. Did you replace any bad or hard fuel lines during the new pump installation? This is a very good idea to do. Hard lines lose their grip on connections and can suck air.

Keep us updated.....thanks.
