Well, we finally got 'er running good. Yet another question remains --

The prop on this thing slides front to back by about a 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch. Is this normal? I suppose we could stick another washer on it, to make it a little tighter, if necessary????

Do you have a spacer in the front,,,, then at the back, a fat large washer that fits onto the spline (shaft), and a smaller washer, then the prop nut?

You should have a spacer in front of the prop, a spacer behind the prop, then a washer, then the nut.

Yep. Had all those parts. The prop still wiggled. So, we put another washer between the splined washer, and the flat washer, and it was just fine then.

I suppose there's some wear there, but this was a pretty simple fix, overall.
