1989 mariner

well here goes, yesterday ,going throgh boat check at tourny, hit kill switch, then all i could get was ONE click when i hit the key. not proud ,but dont no to much about what is going on. 1989 ,,75 hp. B371712,, FUSES ON MOTOR ARE OK,, power lead to small box below main power hook up ,,has power to it ,but there are twqo yellow wire comeing out no power there, should there be? thanks ,,rw

Aint going to get any AC power on the yellow wires if it aint running. Those wires are for AC power to the rectifier that converts voltage to DC power to charge the battery. No run....No voltage. Their should be voltage their while cranking..

put tesster on yellow wires one at a time and tured the key... all i get is 1 click,,lite does not lite up,,,thanks trent for the quick reply
