1989 Rude- Oil pump removed???

I bought a new boat with a 40 horse Rude on it. The oil pump is removed and the intake for the oil hose going into the enting has nothing on the other side. I can't find the pump itself and there is a wire cut in the engine compartment which I'm pretty sure is the oil pump wiring. My question is this, Will the built in gas tank in my hull still be able to supply the motor fuel if I premix in the tank? Will the oil pump being removed have any affect on the fuel running from the tank to the motor? Does the fuel run on a pressure theory or is it actually pumped out of the fuel tank by the fuel pump? The former owner used a portable tank in the boat.

1) Make sure the oil inlet fitting is capped off where the oil line would have been attached to the engine. 2) Turn the key on (no start) and make sure the alarm system still works. Why people cut the wires is beyond me. Why not just disconnect the plug so the system can be put back in service if desired. The Overheat alarm will still work. 3) Yes, the fuel pump on the engine draws fuel from the fuel tank and will work just fine (assuming it doesn't need a rebuild). 4) Yes, you must premix fuel at 50:1. 5) No - this is not a pressure system.
