I have a 1989 65hp Suzuki. I have problems with good water flow out of the pee hole. It runs ok on initial start up but as I go, it slows down. When I stop, it quits coming out. I have had the impeller and bottom plate replaced. It worked awesome one day. The next day the same problem. They tell me at repair shop that there is a lot of gunk in the line, also the temp gauge may be going bad and head gaskets need to be clean. Its like there is a loss of pressure. Are these things that can cause it to loose pressure and whatare other reasons. Very frustrating.

might check to see if that motor has a PRV(pressure relief valve) in the cooling system .
If it does and sticks open it may dump too much water at low RPM if it is designed like a Yamaha

If it is not overheating, then it may just be the tell tail is plugging with trash inside motor.
I am fairly sure Suzukis have a water level switch in block to warn of block not full of water.
Make sure your alarm system works
