Hello everyone,

I have a quick question. Wal-Mart sells the Marine Champion spark plug L77JC4. The only question I got does it have to have the letter "Q" in front of the part numbers or can I use L77JC4 without the "Q" in front of that part number? Will it hurt my motor? They are a $1.83 a plug. My model number is E88MSLCER 88 horsepower Evinrude 1989 V-4 gearcase. Thank youn again you guys are great I have learned so much from you guys and will continue to do so in the future. Again Thank You for your time and patience.

The only difference between the QL77JC4 and the L77JC4 is as you suspect the "Q" which indicates a suppressor type plug. The "Q" plug helps quiet ignition etc interference (noise) that might affect any electronic equipment on board.
