Hello,<br /><br /> I have a quick question? I own a 1989 Evinrude SPL V-4 model# E88MSLCER. I am looking for a tach to install on my boat. I think I have found one on Ebay that is a digitial OMC Johnson/Evinrude tach and has the wires comming out of the back of it already it is item# 4609710292. Do you think this will work on my application.

Hello,<br /><br /> I have a question. I think I have found the right Tachometer harness for my boat remote control. I found it on Ebay and it has a # of BR 3069. Can you guys tell me if that will work on a 1989 Evinrude Outbaord 88 horsepower SPl V-4 model# E88MSLCER. Thanks Bob

I was wondering if this tach on Ebay will work. It is # 4609635815. It is a 8000 RPM, outboard tach with 12 pole universal tachometer. I can't see the back of the indicator but sent an email out to Great Lakes Skipper who has it. Let me know Bob

If you should use this Tach, number of poles it reads to build up RPM numbers, must be adjustable. As far as I remember your motor calls for a setting of 8. I also heard that OMC tachs are very fine, acurate and relyable. You will find them on ebay too, often.

Hello,<br /><br />I think I am cooking with gas on my tach harness and tach. I have found a tach harness and a tach and was wondering if a Datcon Universal Tach series VIII Part #71373 will work on a 1989 Evinrude SPl V-4 model# E88MSLCER? It is also a 12 pole alternator tach. Are these good tachometers?
