1989 yamaha 130

I need some help.i have an '89 130 that has been running fine...now it tight turning over..pull the plugs out and turns over easier...put the plugs back in and will turn over but stops.....i have changed out the battery a couple times.i am fixing to pull the lower unit off and try starting with out it...i am wondering if anyone has seen this happening....thanks

I don't think you are proving much by removeing the plugs...it is most likely an electrical connection problem. From the starter all the way to the battery i would be looking for corrosion on the fittings, connections, etc. I would check the ground or negative battery cable and connection as well..good luck and keep us posted.
