Well finally goy my 1988 Bayliner Trophy 1910 on the lake for some fishing. The engine ran good but took a full 30 seconds to reach full throttle when the throttle was placed in WOT position. Once after stopping for while, it never reached full throttle but ran badly, spitting and popping, but after stopping at a fishing spot for about 45 minutes, it ran well again, except the slow climb to WOT. It has a spin-on fuel/water filter, so maybe it needs to be changed or maybe the gas is old. Did find out the tach didn't work so I have to fix that. Any ideas on the poor performance?
