finally got around to working on tach issues. Found plug on rear of tach...............gray to send, purple to ign, black to ground and a blue wire to light. However, there is a post marked " E/I" . with the ign to on I have 12 volts to purple post. Question 1, what is E/I? There is a black wire going to it but these wires are all messed up from previous owner. Question 2, what should I be getting at the gray and E/I posts for voltage? Thanks, oh the sticker on the back of the tach says E/I is for sender on Evinrude/Johnson motors only??? Thanks for any ideas.
