Hi, Santo.<br /><br />I haven't found the '80s engines to be troublesome, but in the late 90s and 2000 OMC cut some corners to try (unsuccessfully) to survive.<br /><br />Workers were angry and demoralized. Quality control suffered badly. The '97 to 2000 engines had a lot of lemons. <br /><br />However, when updated to Bombardier standards and thoroughly gone over, these engines perform well.
