1990 25HP Merc Turns Too Easy

Wondering if anyone can give me idea of how I adjust the tiller so when I turn left right there is more resistance. The motor turns by itself the minute my hand leaves the throttle.<br /><br />Thanks!<br />Mike W

There should be a friction adjustment on the swivel bracket. Usually a screw that you tighten to make the motor harder to turn.
