1990 4.3 mercruiser.... cap and rotor replacement.... help..

I took the cap off and was getting ready to pull the rotor off.. when i tried it didnt pop off.. i took a screw driver and tried to pry it off and nothing. I didnt want to brake anything so I stopped.. Is there a special tool I need?? ive replace rotors on car eng befor. Isn't the same??

I think they call for locktight when you put the rotor on. I remember that I had to pry/break mine when I replaced it last year. Instructions called for locktight when I put the new one on, but I didn't use any so it would be easier next time.

Ayuh,... Donno why they glue 'em on, but they do...
