1990 50hp - Can I add power tnt?

I have a VJ50BELESR. It has a big hydraulic cylinder that I guess is just a manual lift assist.

Is it possible to add tilt and trim to this motor?

the CMC is probably cheaper way to go, than trying to find OEM parts.

Have you guys used one of those CMC units before? They look kinda iffy to me....wouldn't the setback adversely affect handling, or put a much higher load on the transom? I think my boat is rated for a 60, and I have a 50. With the setback, thinking about the angles and physics and all that other stuff that's way over my head......doesn't it seem kinda scary?

raise the motor height 1/2 to 1 inch and it should be fine.
