Just picked up (very cheap) this engine. It starts easily, pumps water well, and runs pretty good in my test barrel. I have three questions for the folks on the board.<br /><br />1. The top cover plate for the carb is cracked and must be replaced. Any suggestions for on-line parts purchases? Who provides the best service, pricing, delivery, etc.? I am going to go ahead and rebuild the carb, while I have it off.<br /><br />2. This engine has seen use in saltwater. It needs to be stripped and repainted. Any advice or things I should look out for before doing this?<br /><br />3. I have read several threads on this board regarding the conversion of these engines to 15 HP. Has anyone actually done it with a late 80's to early 90's engine? From what I understand, a new carb, and tuned exhaust tube are required. When I tear this engine down to repaint it, I am going to repaint the powerhead also. If I were to do this, I think now would be the time.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Scott
