Thanks for your input. Since I put $100 down I am sort of committed to test it out. I will be testing it on Wed. It's a 1850 capri model and the engine looks clean. No rot on the floor. The dealer wants $3995 with an escort trailer. The dealer was upfront and said that force motors are either good or bad. They are going to do a compression check today and check the boat overall before the test. I will have them do the compression check while I am present. Again, I thank you for you input and feel better informed.

I have to agree with the other posters. Look closely at things like the shift linkages, steering linkages, seat frames, electricals, sponginess in the deck, etc. A friend had one and the swinging windshield thru to the bow simply fell off one day under way. Coulda really hurt someone. Had issues with all of the above, too. I hated that boat and I don't hate any boat.
