I have a 1990 candia 180, 130 hp, OMC Cobra drive. I was doing my clean-up in advance of launching, after hooking the battery up, I have power to my accessories- trim, nav lights, radio, but no crank, no start. Battery checks out and I have continuity to the starter. I am planning to replace the ground and positive cables as they are not in good shape (thought I would start there) but I read there is a 50A fuse in the engine compartment? Any idea where to start looking?

Mine is up on top of the engine, just to the left of the carb. It's a little newer, but maybe there simular?

When my fuse blew I had no power to my accessories, the way my omc is set up the power wire from the battery runs straight to the starter selenoid. That may be where your problem is. If you take a screw driver and touch the terminals that the starter wire bolts to and the positive battery and the starter cranks then that is your problem. Napa sells them for around 10 bucks.
