I need a little help here with the wiring harness for my brother's 1990 Evinrude 150. I have just completed building a new instrument panel for him consisting of new Faria gauges and new rocker switches. I have all of the wiring on the panel completed and I know where I need to connect the wires coming from the engine harness (black -> tach ground, which grounds all the other gauges, purple -> tach. 12V, which provides 12V to all the other gauges, gray -> tach sender, white w/ brown stripe -> trim sender). However there is one black w/ brown stripe wire left over that we cannot figure out where it is supposed to go. I don't think it was connected to anything on the old panel but I want to be sure. To add a little more detail, the tach wires are bundled together and come from the side mount control, the trim sender and this unknown wire are bundled together and appear to come from the engine itself.

We removed the engine cowling and did our best to find the matching wire but came up empty. Does anyone know what this wire is for?

Thanks.
