1990 Evinrude 15hp half throttle then back to idle

Ok so I have an 1990 Evinrude 15hp that I just bought and worked just fine. Took it out for a test spin when I brought it home. Worked great all the way up to full throttle and then turned around to head home. I got to about half throttle and went for full throttle where it proceeded to die down. It doesn't shut off and it just idles at full throttle. I tried this a couple times all with the same result. Any thoughts?

You might check and make sure you have spark on both cylinders.
Try pumping the primer constantly and see if it picks up, maybe you have a fuel pump going out.
You could have a high speed orifice plugged up.

Check the carb linkage to make sure something didn't break or fall off.

Could you explain where the carb linkage is?

The linkage goes between the carb and the mag plate.

Ok so tried the simple stuff first, compression 120 in both, priming the fuel bulb doesn't work, and I have spark in both. I assume the carb is the next item to check out i really need to do my research because brand new to this and terminology is foreign.

You didn't post a model number, but the parts breakdown below should be close. Pay attention to #'s 23 & 24. make sure the orifice is not plugged or restricted and the little hose is not cracked or broken.

By that model number you have a 1992 engine, here is your carb.
