1990 force 120hp charge problem help please

i have as stated a 120hp 1990 force out board and i parked it for the winter and now just got it out and putt the batt in and ran it on the h2o and i shut it off to wait for the landing to be clear and it would not turn over (DEAD BAtt)

i came home put the charger on and 10 min later it started!


so what is wrong charging system, or reg, ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Put a volt meter on the battery when running, and when it is not. What are the readings?

It could be lots of things, battery, cables, terminals, rectifier, loose wire.
