Hey guys,
I am having an issue with my recently purchased force 150 on my 1990 arriva speed boat. I replaced my impeller due to unknown information and at the behest over everyone on here lol. I was not getting any water out of the pisser prior to replacing the impeller. I replaced the impeller with a kit. The impeller both seals and the aluminum seal. I replaced it using the directions on the forums and the directions found on the internet. I used the proper torque to secure all the bolts. I then reattached the lower end to the transom. I then fired up the motor. My result was still no water coming from the pissers. I looked down at the motor and saw water rising up around the engine in the cowl. I figured that maybe I did not secure the white water fitting to the top of the impeller housing for water flow. So, today while "Working" I went out to the bay and took the lower end off the transom checked everything and lubed up the bolts made sure everything was reattached correctly. I then started the motor which ran for about 10 seconds before dying with a backfire. That leads me to my second question. The motor will only run for 10-15 seconds before dying and has backfired a few times which I do not like. The motor has been sitting for 2 years and I have just been trying to get her ready to go. Any dx that I can fix is greatly Appreciated.
Thanks
Kris

I will attempt to get some pics up here as soon as I can make the file smaller.

Well I pulled the lower end down again and while attempting to put it back together I cracked the impeller housing. I am having an extremely hard time finding the housing not in a kit. The kits I have found are around 100. Should I buy the kit and save the impeller for the next time or does anyone know of a place to get just the house to save a little money right now.
