1990 force 50hp spark issue

I have a 1990 force 50 HP when I purchased the boat it only had spark on one cylinder I replaced the Cdi box now runs on both cylinders I took the boat out and it only runs 10 mph max it is a 15 foot cobra. I put a spark tester on and the spark coming from the black coil seems to be intermintent could the coil be the issue or something else causing it and also are the black and blue coils interchangeable seeing how it came with a whole extra engine that just has the blue coils

The coils are basically the same except the connectors are backwards.
They did that so you can't mix the blue and black together.
Just swap the whole ignition system if there's good spark on the donor motor.
outboardignitiondotcom has a troubleshooting section.
One quick check: the trigger leads are VERY TINY and the wire breaks under the shrinkwrap at the connector. Tug on the leads and see if the wire comes out???
Loss of spark on 1 cyl. can be a bad stator(maybe)??
