1990 forse Replaced Impeller and thermo Now what?????

Ok well I got the impeller and thermo replaced and I now have water comming out of the outlet( not a steady stream?) I also see a water discharge by one of the rear bolts that attach lower to upper. Is this ok? My next step is to check compression. Oh yea by the way 1990 Forse 50 thanks for everything. <br /><br />Randy

It doesn't have a telltail, but it has two exaust ports that sputter water simular to how I like to describe it, "telling your motor a funny joke, while it has a mouthfull of seawater"..It also sputters under the water line from the exaust port in the cav plate.<br />The leg has a drain hole in it, by the bolt, if that is what you are refering to.<br />If not, you may have missed the pump tube,but I doubt it.

Thanks again 12 Footer. I feel a little better now. I am going to check the temp by using the burn your knucles technique and I hope I can stand it for 3 min.<br /><br />You are way under paid.

3 Seconds..I hope 3min was a typo, or it's gonna be a bit warm. But yes, the old burnt knuckles test don't lie, and can actually find hot spots, or places in the circuit that are restricted.<br /><br />Naa, I'm not under paid. The "thanks,12Footer" is pay to me.I'd probably do this if I was a millionare, and I learn something new here myself, just about every day.

Well just an update: Thanks to the board(12 Footer) I will be able to rest tonight. All is in stalled and working well. 135-140 compression and I let the engine run for 4 min and had 4+ seconds on the head. So THANK YOU!!!!!<br /><br />one more question. How much lube does the lower end hold? I am going to be safe and change it Tuesday night. 50 hp 1990 forse. Thanks again, And thank you iboats for this fourm.
