1990 four winns remote handle trim switch

Hello everyone,

Yesterday i lost the down on my drive. It would go up but not down and there was no sound from the trim motor. I followed the manual and figured it out--- bad switch. I've tried to find one but no luck. Is there a source for these switches or will i have to go to a different set up?? It's a two button switch.

So you switched the green and blue wires at the pump relays and got the reverse right ( no up but down ) ? Usually the relay goes bad or its a bad connection.

but since you think its the trim button switch, not sure which style you have so tough to guess..

post a pic, someone may have an idea.

easy thing to do you can get a momentary on - off - momentary switch and wire that up or find a handle on ebay like yours.

Hit a few dealers and boat shops. May be able to order on3 try google, Ask around for a used box. Mount a switch in the panel or on the dash. But I would rule out the relays first.

Thanks tried eBay but no luck. Here in northern Ontario there are not many boat yards and to ask for omc parts even used parts gets a blank stare. I tested the relays and the motor and then tested the switch. I then wired a 3 way switch and it is working well but would like to keep it in the handle. At least i'm still running!!
