Just bought 1990 Nitro with GT 150 off original owner. Sat for a long time, did waterpump, therm, plugs, wires,carbs..ect. After running a few minutes, idles without throttle help, but coughs and cut out after in idle a bit, but easy restart. Boat really moves nice until past weekend While at 5800 rpm it felt like motor completly died<br />but it droped to 3000 rpm. Under 2900 rpm the motor runs clean, over 3000 rpm it breaks up evenly, sounds and feels like theres a rev-limiter holding it from going over 3000 rpm's, I'd like to test the coils and pack but probally don't have the right tools. Any input welcome.. Thanks for all help.
