1990 Johnson 125HP Cylinder Head Replacements

[FONT=&quot]I'm having trouble finding replacement cylinder heads for my 1990 Johnson 125HP V4. The part number is 432592, and it shows replaced by 0436004, then by 432592, then by 0438527 which shows unavailable/obsolete. Once and a while on ebay, the part will show up, but it looks almost identical to some of the other V4 cylinder heads from similar years and displacements.

This doesn't seem to an issue with most of the other motors from that year.

​Would anyone know if I can just use a similar head (like the 120HP or something) or if I really need this specific, unavailable part?

Can you post a model number for your engine, there is no 125 listed for 1990, at least in North America

It listed as: 1990 Johnson J125ESXESS 125hp.

"Almost identical". Well, close works with Horseshoes, Grenades, and Nuclear Weapons, but not necessarily with cylinder heads. Without knowing what the differences are, you could end up 'nuking' your engine. There are sites that recycle parts for outboards

Just use heads off the 120 / 140 model.-----Best to find used as they are proud of them.----Your location ?

As posted use heads off 1989-1993 120/125/140hp's...you can use later models also but will need to machine a cooling passage to make them work.
