1990 Johnson 140 cool only on one side

My 1990 johnson 140 is only getting cool on port side with thermostats out and on muffs. I do not have anything to check temp at the moment. When I touch the two starboard side cylinders it's hot enouugh to burn hand if left on but the the two port side are cool to the touch. Why is this?

When's the last time the water pump was replaced ?? What's the compression on it ??

It's been over a yr for the impeller. Between 145 and 155 on all cylinders. I think once I put it in gear and rev the engine it starts cooling.

Take it to the water once and see what happens at WOT. Testing a cooling system on muffs is no good. I also have been fooled a long time ago.
