I took my thermostats out to make sure water was pumping fine. I wanted to test them so I put them in a pot and set the burner on high and then got a call about a yacht I'm trying to sale and ran off and forgot them on the stove. Needless to say their not thermostats anymore, lol. I read somewhere that with the 1988 and 89's when the vro's were messing up and people were having problems keeping their engines cool that they would take out the thermostats. Is it possible to run my engine out on the lake without thermostats until I get some ordered?

Engines been runnin since the beginning wo stats but not recomended for long term. Stats are part of temperature control. Run em as the designors designed em.

Dont run the motor without them long term. Dont really want to get into it again, but google the topic and you will see the trouble it brings.
