I have a '90 Johnson 4hp (Deluxe) that I have re-built. I bought it knowing it had a bad cylinder (broken rings). I had both cylinders honed, got a new piston (and rings), seal/gasket set and put it back together. Compression is 95lbs. both cylinders. Ignition is good, strong spark both plugs. Re-built the carb which seems to be fine. I can't start the motor. It "tries" but, will not catch. Plugs seem dry after attempting to start it. I'm thinking it's a vacume leak in the crankcase (or something like that). Any thoughts?
