Hello everyone. Haven't been on the forum in awhile.
My motor has a fuel leak at the electric primer solenoid. when I push the key in I can see fuel see fuel squirt out from around the red manual valve. My shop manual shows that there's an o-ring on the manual valve. Not sure if I need to take the solenoid apart to get to the o-ring or not.
Motor starts easy but won't idle very well. Air leak?

It may or may not have anything to do with the bad idle, but it could. You'll have to take the top off to fix it regardless. No big deal, very simple & straightforward.

Thanks for the reply. Will fix that and see what happens. I rebuilt the carbs last summer so hopefully it's something simple like an air leak.

If the motor has been sitting with untreated fuel the carbs could be due for another bath. Non-use is the worst thing for a motor.

It does sit with treated fuel in the tank. I finally had time to remove the primer solenoid. the manual primer valve has a crack from one end to almost where the o-ring is. don't have clue how that happened

Got the parts to fix the primer. Parts came from Houston,Tx and shipped the day before they got hit by Ike. As soon as the land lines are back up I be thanking them. Will take the boat out this weekend. Hopefully it will idle better.
