1990 johnson outboard 140hp?

Thanks ahead.<br />Looking at buying a 1990 18' Sea Ray w/ rebuilt 140 Johnson outboard. Was this a good motor and where do I find specs?

Good motor (I am partial to Johnson/Evinrude) Go to www.johnson.com then go to dock talk...this will lead you to the engine model reference year guide to verify your year motor. What specs do you want? Buy a manual it will be a worthwhile investment.<br /><br />Welcome to the board <br /><br />Bob

Great! I'm having the boat and motor inspected by a local OMC repair shop. I guess he'll supply the specs I need. Compression mainly.
