I just bought a used boat. Looks great, Ran rough the first time I took it out. Took it to the shop and took it out again. Ran real smooth till about 2500 RPM. Above that it would surge. Not enough to move the tach, but I could hear ad feel it. I think it topped out at 4200 RPM. It has the HO 4.3L V-6 with an OMC Cobra drive. 19 pitch aluminum Prop, which not has a chunk out of one of the blades, close to the hub. I have pictures, but too big for this forum

Got the boat back from the mechanic today. The points were at twice the gap that they should be. They re-set the gap, and re-timed the engine, and at no charge. My parents picked it up, cause I was at work, and for the first time in many years, my Dad (Who is 85) backed it into the garage today and got it there on the first try. Mom said he still has it :)
