So I've been lurking for a few years on the site and think its time to start posting. I need some motivation to start putting my Sea Nymph back together. This is my first boat so its been slow going. It came with and Evinrude 70 that I pulled apart and put back together, so its ready to mount. Problem is I need something to mount it to. The SN was a mess, rotten transom, with pitted aluminum, standard wet foam nightmare, the works. So I pulled the motor and gutted the thing. I found leaking bottom rivets, a few cracked ribs and some crappy epoxy fix attempts. Ive located the leaking rivets and drilled them out to replace with SS close end rivets. The transom was wet for a while and has some really thin areas, I'm working that whole thing over with JB weld. Next job is to rebuild the wood portion. I need to order some marine plywood and epoxy.
I think posting here will help motivate me, I'm shooting for getting her in the water this fall to fly fish for stripped bass in the Long Island sound. I think I need one more post to put up pics? Thanks for watching.
