Going to replace the ply wood and floor covering on my aluminum boat. The previous owner already replaced some of the parts and merely stapled carpet on top of plywood without wrapping it or taking the carpet up the gunwhale at all.
There will be at least 5 separate sections of plywood that will be cut and laid into place. What I do not know is if I should individually wrap each piece of plywood with my vinyl first, and then secure each panel individually with sealed rivets.
OR, should I secure all pieces to the framing first, and then layout the vinyl on top so it appears to be one Piece? Ant advice is appreciated.
I have 1/2 CDX that I will be precoating with leftover epoxy from another project.
I have 3/16" all-aluminum closed-end rivets I plan to secure the floor and any loose brackets with.
