1990's Johnson 75hp wiring diagram?

Good afternoon to all,

I just came back from my friend's house and he is trying to figure out how to reconect the ingition wires on a 75hp Johnson he was given to repower his boat.

It looks to be a 1990's Johnson and has the following numbers stamped on the rear of the engine block; looking from behind these are to the left of the top cylinder on the block not the cylinders cover:

He is trying to reconect the power packs and ignition wires coming from under the flywheel to the big reg waterproof plug that goes out to the controls on the boat.

Does anyone have a diagram of this?

Anyone who has the correct OEM Service Manual has the diagram, Alex.

First, you need to establish the model number, from which you can get the right manual.

Sending you a copy of the right diagram, even if we knew what diagram to send, would be a violation of federal copyright law.

Ok, then he is gonna have to order a manual.

Can we determine the model of the engine by the numbers on the block?

We just located a number that may help to ID the engine.

This is located on the top of the block, looking from above in between the cylinders cover and the flywheel.
There is a small aluminum disc/plug with:

Is there a database for Johnson like the one at shop.evinrude that can help me ID the engine?

That is the serial number for your specific motor and can be tracked by a dealer.

The Shop Evinrude site has all of the Johnson motors as well after 1968. Just select Johnson instead of Evinrude from the pick list.

BTW the serial number is from around 1993.
