1990's (old) minn kota pwrdrv foot pedal

Hi all, <br />I'm new to owning a boat, and I want to thank everyone for great info in this amazing forum.<br /><br />Here's my specific problem.<br /><br />I just recently purchased an old (1990's) minn kota powerdrive. The previous owner told me that the foot pedal was broken, but could easily find a replacement. <br />Couldn't be further from the truth. I've checked everywhere w/ no success (including minn kota, and other websites listed on this minn kota forum) <br /><br />Unfortunately, the pedal is obsolete (has a circular connection to the motor, as oppose to the oblong connection for the current models)<br /><br />Does anyone know of any sites that sell used 'obsolete' minn kota items ie. foot pedal!<br /><br />Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm betting you could get the newer version pedal and wire up your old plug to it, if you have it. Is the one you're looking for Part Number 299-4492? Might give a call to these folks...<br /><br /> web page

Hi Rick and JB,<br /> <br />thanks for the quick response. I'll call them up/ look on ebay and see how much it will cost. In your opinion, do you think I'm better off chalking this one up as a loss, and just buy a brand new one albeit a less funtional model, ie. 'endura 40'. <br /><br />thanks again.
