First issue is getting out of the hole. I have a 4 bladed SS prop and about 75% of the time I have to have someone go to the nose of the boat before it will get on plane. Once on plane it runs great. The other 25% of the time No problem at all.
Second issue is the motor will just trim all the way up by itself. In order to get it back down I have to use the button on the motor the one on the throttle will not work except to stop it from moving and then I have to hold the down button to keep it from coming up. Always having to watch it while moving so it doesn't come out of the water while on plane.
Engine Starts and Idles fine. Had local tech check it out and he couldn't find anything wrong. Told me he was about 75% sure it was the CTI?? unit. But I didn't want to spend over $800.00 unless he was 100% sure. Trimming issue just started a couple weeks ago so tech didn't have that info when he looked at it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I don't know the exact model of the engine but can get it if necessary.
