Not really a good way to measure, since that is only for one type of drive. A 91 boat could have ether an Alpha I or an Alpha I Gen II. Both have different dimensions.
mercstuff is wrong in so many things.

Here is the instructions from Merc that shows the dimensions for all the drives.
