Is this an outboard? If so, be very suspicious. How does the seller know the lower bearings need replacement and secondly, does he know anything about these engines?

Replacing bearings in an outboard requires removing the engine block and splitting it OR if it is the lower unit bearings that he means, disassembly of the lower unit. Depending upon which lower unit bearings are bad, it can be relatively easy or relativly difficult. It can also mean that gears and seals may be damaged.

Unless the price of the boat reflects this and unless yopu are capable and willing to do the work, walk away.

Bayliner/Force combinations while not bad boats (actually a decent value for money spent) do have a bad reputation. Thus, they carry a low used value and reselling can be difficult.

Find out more details before committing and get back.

Don't buy someone else's problems unless you personally know the extent of the problem and the cost and time involved in the repair.

In this case, you don't know.

You are taking the seller's word, which may be wrong, or a straight out lie just to sell the boat.
