Hi, I have a 1991 Evinrude 175hp, 35 amp systems, electric primer system, Motor only start in manual mode, if I turn the red lever on the electric primer down, the carbs will get fuel and the motor will start right up, once I move the red lever to the original position the motor will shut-off. Not right away but it will shut off, any idea what could be wrong. I notice that the prime bulb is always soft if the red lever is in original position but if I move the red lever to manual the bulb gets really hard to squeeze after a couple of squeeze?s. Any idea where should I start. I will really appreciate any help.

Thank you

The normal (run) position is with the lever parallel to the solenoid body. If you manually open the valve fuel will flood into the intake / carbs.

Thanks Mr. Dhadley, I got the primer working fine and carburetors clean up today. Thank you.

Any idea how to disable the Vro system? Also My outboard Model number is: VE175TXEID , it has 35 amp systems, any idea what is the part number for the Voltage Regulator?

Thank you

Hello Sport Craft,

Do a search on the VRO, there are a few rightups to disconnect this. As for the part number for the regulator, it should be 0395204, I just bought the same one for ~200.00 online. Double check here for the P/N. www.epc.brp.com
