1991 johnson 40 hp update

Found ingnition module to have a weak and intermittent spark on the lower cylinder.

Bought the CDI total ignition solution for this motor.

All wires are color coded and labled to know where they go except one wire.

The wire I am refering to is total black coming from the CDI module.
It has a large eye connector.

My experience says it should be connected to ground.


Can anyone confirm it should be grounded?????????????
