I was expecting to find a blown fuse or problem with the switch itself, that doesn't seem to be the case though.
The Stern Light connection has 1 black, and 1 white wire. I'm assuming black is ground, so tested those two wires with an Multi-Meter and I don't get any power at that location.
I checked the fuse, and the Bow Light works fine. The Stern light doesn't get power in NAV or ANCHOR modes.
I used the Multi-Meter to check the Switch, and with both the NAV and ANCHOR switch positions, there is a grey wire on the switch that reads as 12 Volts in both the NAV and ANCHOR positions. When the Switch is toggled OFF, this grey wire has no Volts, so I think this is the outbound wire for the Stern Light??
It seems there is a wiring issue somewhere. From what I've read, one of the wires on the Stern Light is from\to the Bow Light, I'm thinking this would be the white wire, since the black wire at the Stern Light would be the ground wire.
There was some any wires under the console, and they are cable tied tightly together, it's tough to track on the wires coming and going.
I'm considering just running 2 new wires from the battery, stern, and bow for the NAV and ANCHOR lights, then then connect these 2 new wires to the existing switch.
I'd appreciate your thoughts on determining the root cause, and fix for this issue.
Thanks,
Jon
