1992 100Hp merc

I'm thinking of buying a boat with this motor on it any one have anything good or bad to say about this year and HP?<br /><br />Is this one of those 2+2's? Where they run on 2 cylinders up to about 1800RPM then switch to 4?

That is a decent engine and yes it's a 2+2.<br /><br />TMD

Thanks MD,<br /><br />I heard that the 2+2's can be tough to tune up, and that the throttle response is not very Linear.
